Balance boards for kids are a great way to entertain your little ones while also teaching them balance and coordination. One of my favorite kids balancing boards is the Wobble Deck made by Diggin. Not only does it teach kids balance, it’s also interactive and has three different modes of play. The best part? This balancing board for kids is perfect for beginners. It’s easy enough to use for kids as young as five years old and is great for indoor and outdoor playtime.
Here’s how it works. There are three different ways that your child can play with this balancing toy. Freestyle allows them to balance on their own without directions from the toy. It’s perfect for younger kids or beginners. The two other modes of play are memory match and Speed Play. These playing modes are similar to Simon Says and kids have to follow the directions given to them by the balancing board.
The board itself is made out of wood with brightly colored corners. As mentioned before, it’s great for outdoor or indoor play, but if you plan to use it indoors you’ll need a hard surface like tile or hardwood because it doesn’t work at all on carpet.
It’s also worth mentioning that even though the manufacturer states that the upper age limit on this toy is 12, it’s probably best for younger kids – I don’t think that it will keep the attention of kids older than 7 or 8, at least not for very long.
You’ll spend about $35 on this balancing board for kids – given the quality of construction and the fact that it works electronically, I think it’s well worth the price tag.
If you’ve got a kid that loves to be active or needs a little help with coordination, the Wobble Deck is a toy that you should definitely check out!
